Marco Baldetti

Psychotherapist and Lecturer in Metacognitive Therapy

Marco Baldetti is a Psychologist, Psychotherapist and Lecturer at Studi Cognitivi.

He graduated cum laude in General and Experimental Psychology from the University of Florence in 2006, then graduated in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in 2010 from Studi Cognitivi in Florence, and in Metacognitive Therapy (MCT) from the MCT-Institute of Manchester (UK) in 2019 with Prof. Adrian Wells.

Alongside clinical practice, he has participated in private and public research initiatives, including the GET UP national project about the treatment of early psychosis (Genetics Endophenotypes and Treatment: Understanding early Psychosis) at Florence’s local health authority.

He currently works as a freelancer therapist at Studi Cognitivi in Florence, where he mainly deals with MCT treatments on brooding and rumination, as well as with treatments for phobias by applying virtual reality (VRET – virtual reality – based exposure therapy).

Beginning with his university studies in general and experimental psychology, since 2015 he has been collaborating with IT companies in developing software and mobile applications in the role of User Experience designer and Project Manager.
