Dr. Stefano Porcelli graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2008 at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan, with thesis supervisor Prof. Enrico Smeraldi. He obtained the Specialization in Psychiatry in 2014 at the University of Bologna, with thesis supervisor Prof. Alessandro Serretti.
In the last years, he collaborated with the University of Bologna carrying out research activities aimed at identifying clinical and biological predictors of response to treatments in psychiatry. This research activity has led to the publication of over 70 articles in specialized journals (H index 22). He carried out clinical activity at various public and private psychiatric services, acquiring experience in the treatment of the main psychiatric diseases, both in the acute phase and during rehabilitation.
Since autumn 2015 he collaborates with Santagostino, where he currently holds the role of National Coordinator of the “Mind & Brain” area. In this capacity, he coordinates the clinical activity of over 230 psychotherapists and 10 psychiatrists, active in Lombardy and in various Italian cities, from which more than 2000 patients are followed weekly. This clinical reality has dealt with the covid-19 emergency, massively using digilitization, currently becoming the main private provider of digital psychotherapy in Italy, with more than 600 sessions of psychotherapy delivered weekly in video mode.
