Paolo Paolini was, until 2016, full professor in Computer Science at Politecnico di Milano.
He was been previously full professor at University of Salento (Lecce, in southern Italy) and contract professor at the Faculty of Communication Science in Lugano, Switzerland.
He holds a bachelor degree in Physics from University of Milan, Master and PhD in Computer Science from UCLA.
He has been active in several fields of research, including data bases, hypertext, authoring environments and tools, multimedia applications, requirements, usability, web design, accessibility (for impaired users), eCulture, eLearning.
He is currently active in the field of technology for developing sustainable chatbots for education and also into developing advanced teaching/learning paradigms.
He has published more than 200 scientific papers. He has taken part to more than 100 reserach projects (for about 60% with the role of scientific coordinator)
He has created several laboratories, some of them still active, including HOC-LAB at the DEIB department of Politecnico di Milano.
